Job Description

Directs the organization’s financial planning, financial analysis and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through a management team:

 

  • Overseeing and directing finance, treasury, budgeting and forecasting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, forecasting, and metric management activities for the organization
  • Producing monthly financial statements for Board, President, lenders and other management members
  • Maintaining and improving “dashboard” of key metrics and distributing weekly and monthly reports
  • Overseeing cash, funds, investment and asset management
  • Managing the relationship with the Company’s lenders and ensuring compliance with its various reporting requirements
  • Developing and utilizing forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
  • Supporting strategic planning and operational initiatives by benchmarking, interpreting financial data, highlighting problems and opportunities, and developing innovative ways to evaluate the business
  • Assisting the President, other members of the management team and the Company’s Board / private equity partner in assessing and prioritizing growth initiatives, innovative business arrangements and special projects.
  • Overseeing and coordinating tax reporting and annual audit
  • Analyzing, consolidating and directing all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports
  • Directing and analyzing studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization’s policies and operations
  • Ensuring financial compliance with company procedures, programs and government regulations
  • Managing vendors and outsourced relationships and evaluate alternative approaches to meet the long-term growth needs of the business
  • Evaluating and recommending business partnership opportunities

 

Qualifications

•     Candidates with at least eight years of relevant work experience including at least two years of CFO or controller experience are preferred

  • Strong analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills
  • Superior academic and performance record.  MBA or MA from a top program preferred.
  • CPA
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills and a high level of maturity
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently as well as on a team

 

Compensation

  • Salary: Competitive and consistent with industry norms, and commensurate with experience and responsibility. Expected base salary between $130-$150k depending on experience.
  • Bonus: An annual bonus will be paid upon the candidate’s achievement of agreed upon performance objectives and the Company’s reaching budgeted goals
  • Equity Participation: The candidate will be eligible for participation in the Company’s stock option plan.
